I must also point out the other employees who were just good people. There were a few of the guys bringing in new furniture and rearranging that gave me their input. It's always nice when people acknowledge others even though I was totally in their way. Another salesman was back by the clearance and let me know that they will deliver sale items as well. It's generous that he was helpful to a coworkers sale. Lastly the lady up at the counter was super friendly chatting me up while Kiley and the manager ironed out details. Just a super friendly store. Thanks everybody!
I've been to at least 15 furniture stores this past month looking for a couch that fit my standards. I am picky. For the most part like being left to browse but then have employees accessible when I have questions. This is the second Value City location I've visited and the sales people announce themselves but give me my space. I love it!
First off they told me that they were going to call prior to give me a window of when they will be arriving. They just showed up at 7:30 in the morning pissed off because we didn't answer the door right away. Well buddy not everybody wakes up at the crack of dawn. And if you would have called like you were supposed to we would have been more than happy to meet you at the front door instead of having you wait outside for 15 minutes. Then as they were bringing it up stairs the door fell off which caused a chip in the wood and a bolt to a screw to fall off. Well they were unable to put it back on so they just gave up and left. So I guess it's up to me as a customer to somehow figure out how to put this door back on to the dresser. Well half hour later I was able to get it. This is the picture of it in the store and this is the picture of it in my bedroom as you can see where it was damaged. Thanks Ahmed for the great customer service but I will never come back to this store again.
Reasonable prices and no pushy salespeople. What more could you ask for? :)
Today I was greeted by a fellow Kiley who was every kind of helpful. She gave me time to run around the store and was always in sight if I were to need her. I have been having a struggle between functionality and style and fabrics, per my usual indecisive ways. She wasn't pushy at all. We had discussions about my space, colors, style, worries, etc. She helped me put the room together finally! Kiley even understood my frustration with couch shopping for a month so she worked with her manager and I will be receiving my new furniture within 3 days of ordering. That's amazing!
The cheapest (quality wise), worse made furniture you will ever find. Bought a dining room table and within two weeks the chair had a leg that split. Regretted the purchase so much less than 2 months later went to Macy's and bought some quality furniture for pretty much the same price we paid at this place, but got a real wood dining table and quality, sturdy chairs. Lesson learned.
They messed up our delivery and failed to try to alleviate the situation. Told us that we would just have to wait another week to fix their problem. Never apologized for any of their error and pretty much left us hanging.
